Διακρατική συνάντηση του προγράμματος "Go4Υou"

Η Κ.Σ.Δ.Ε.Ο. "ΕΔΡΑ" παρευρέθηκε στην πόλη του Βόλου στην διακρατική συνάντηση του προγράμματος Go4Υou (Governance for Youth).

Συντονιστής φορέας του προγράμματος ήταν ο οργανισμός του Δήμου Βόλου "Κ.Ε.Κ.Π.Α. Δ.Ι.Ε.Κ.: Κοινωφελής Επιχείρηση Κοινωνικής Προστασίας & Αλληλεγγύης - Δημοτικό Ινστιτούτο Επαγγελματικής Κατάρτισης". Στην συνάντηση συμμετείχαν νέοι από τους δήμους Περιστερίου, Βόλου και Arad (Ρουμανία) με αναπηρία όρασης και μη. 

Την Κυριακή 4 Μαΐου σε Ημερίδα στο Δημαρχείο Βόλου, έγινε παρουσίαση του προγράμματος στο κοινό του Βόλου, παρουσίαση των αποτελεσμάτων και ανταλλαγή απόψεων σε θέματα προσβασιμότητας μεταξύ των παρευρισκομένων. 

Μεταξύ των παρευρισκομένων ήταν και ο Δήμαρχος Βόλου Πάνος Σκοτινιώτης, ο Αντιδήμαρχος Τεχνικών Υπηρεσιών Φώτης Λαμπρινίδης και η Πρόεδρος του Διεθνούς Συμβουλίου για την εκπαίδευση και αποκατάσταση των ατόμων με αναπηρία όρασης Μπέττυ Λεωτσάκου η οποία έκανε και σχετική παρουσίαση επιτευγμάτων που αφορούν την προσβασιμότητα των ΑμεΑ στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό.

Στα πλαίσια της συνάντησης οι νέοι των δύο χωρών συμμετείχαν σε ποικίλες δράσεις. Επισκέφθηκαν το Σωματείο ατόμων με αναπηρία όρασης Νομού Μαγνησίας "Μάγνητες Τυφλοί", ξεναγήθηκαν τους χώρους του,  και επισκέφθηκαν το γυμναστήριο του Σωματίου. 

Συμμετείχαν σε φιλικό αγώνα goalball «Αράντ – Βόλος» στο κλειστό γυμναστήριο της Νέας Ιωνίας. Το goalball είναι ομαδικό άθλημα ειδικά σχεδιασμένο για τυφλούς αθλητές.

Επίσης, υλοποιήθηκε επίσκεψη στο Συνεταιρισμό Ανθοκομικών και Αρωματικών φυτών Ατόμων με Αναπηρία "Ηλιοτρόπια", όπου νέοι από την ομάδα της Ρουμανίας φύτεψαν δενδρολίβανα. 

Νέοι από την ομάδα της Ρουμανίας δίδαξαν στους υπόλοιπους την τέχνη του Origami.

«Διακυβέρνηση για τους Νέους (Governance for Youth) - Go4You»   

Η προσβασιμότητα των ατόμων με αναπηρίες σε κοινόχρηστους χώρους (πάρκα, πλατείες, πεζοδρόμια και πεζόδρομους) και σε δημόσια κτίρια είναι το «κλειδί» για την εξάλειψη των διακρίσεων, ώστε κάθε άτομο να μπορεί αυτόνομα, με ασφάλεια και με άνεση να προσεγγίζει και να χρησιμοποιεί υποδομές, υπηρεσίες και αγαθά αλλά και να επικοινωνεί και να πληροφορείται. Αποτελεί, επίσης, την καθοριστική παράμετρο του περιβάλλοντος, που καθορίζει τελικά σε κάθε άτομο το θεμελιώδες δικαίωμα της ελευθερίας επιλογών σε κάθε στιγμή της ζωής του.

Η θεματική της προσβασιμότητας μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί ως «εργαλείο» συμμετοχικής δημοκρατίας από νέους που είτε αντιμετωπίζουν άμεσα το πρόβλημα της μη-προσβασιμότητας σε βασικά σημεία μιας πόλης (άτομα με αναπηρία) είτε ενδιαφέρονται να ενασχοληθούν με αυτό το πρόβλημα και θέλουν να συνεισφέρουν στην επίλυση των προβλημάτων των συνομηλίκων τους (νέοι γενικού πληθυσμού).

Η συμμετοχή αυτών των νέων σε διαδικασίες σχεδιασμού και λήψης αποφάσεων θα αποτελέσει τη βάση για την «εκπαίδευση» των συμμετεχόντων νέων σε δημοκρατικές διαδικασίες, όπως είναι η διαδικασία που πρέπει να ακολουθηθεί από τη διαπίστωση ενός προβλήματος που επηρεάζει μια ολόκληρη πόλη και μια ολόκληρη ομάδα στόχου, ως τη διαμόρφωση ενός σχεδίου δράσης με προτεινόμενες λύσεις μέσω μιας ευρείας διαβούλευσης όλων των ενδιαφερομένων μερών (stakeholders) και την άσκηση πολιτικής πίεσης για τη λήψη αποφάσεων και δεσμεύσεων για έμπρακτα μέτρα βελτίωσης.

Ο οργανισμός «Κοινωνικές Συνεταιριστικές Δραστηριότητες Ευπαθών Ομάδων – ΕΔΡΑ» σε συνεργασία με τη Κοινωφελή Επιχείρηση Κοινωνικής Προστασίας & Αλληλεγγύης-Δημοτικό Ινστιτούτο Επαγγελματικής Κατάρτισης, Δήμου Βόλου (συντονιστής του σχεδίου), και τους ρουμανικούς οργανισμούς «Organizatia Studentilor din Arad (Οργάνωση Φοιτητών του Arad / Ρουμανία), και «Ofensiva Tinerilor» (Οργάνωση Παραβατικότητας Νέων Ρουμανίας), συμμετέχει στο Πρόγραμμα με τίτλο «Διακυβέρνηση για τους Νέους (Governance for Youth) • Go4You    (Πρόγραμμα  ΝΕΑ ΓΕΝΙΑ ΣΕ ΔΡΑΣΗ 2007-13, ΔΡΑΣΗ 1: ΝΕΟΛΑΙΑ ΓΙΑ ΤΗΝ ΕΥΡΩΠΗ, ΥΠΟΔΡΑΣΗ 1.3: ΣΧΕΔΙΑ ΝΕΩΝ ΓΙΑ ΤΗ ΔΗΜΟΚΡΑΤΙΑ, ΑΡΙΘΜΟΣ YOUTH LINK: GR-13-Ε2-2013-R1, ΚΩΔΙΚΟΣ ΑΙΤΗΣΗΣ: 1.3/R1/2013/03) (Διάρκεια: 01/09/2013 – 31/05/2014, 9 ΜΗΝΕΣ).

Το σχέδιο ‘Governance for Youth’ (GO4YOU) εστιάζει στη συμμετοχή των νέων, και κυρίως των νέων με αναπηρίες, στις δημοκρατικές διαδικασίες, όπως η ενεργός συμμετοχή των νέων με στόχο να μάθουν να οργανώνουν και να εμπλέκονται σε θέματα που αφορούν την καθημερινότητά τους, να αποκτήσουν πιο ισχυρή φωνή και να μπορέσουν να επηρεάσουν το πολιτικό σκηνικό και, ιδιαίτερα άτομα που εμπλέκονται στην διαδικασία λήψης αποφάσεων για τη ζωή τους.

Στο πλαίσιο του Σχεδίου ‘Governance for Youth’ (GO4YOU), 28 νέοι από 2 χώρες (Ελλάδα και Ρουμανία) και διαφορετικές ομάδες (νέοι με αναπηρία και μη, νέοι από αστική περιοχή και νέοι από τη περιφέρεια) θα εμπλακούν στην καταγραφή των «σημείων» εκείνων όπου εμποδίζεται η προσβασιμότητά τους, όπως κτίρια, υπηρεσίες, κοκ, και θα προβούν στηδιαμόρφωση-παραγωγή προτάσεων με τη μορφή ενός μικρού Σχεδίου Δράσης (με επικέντρωση σε προτάσεις βελτίωσης προσβασιμότητας σε δημόσια κτίρια και δημόσιους χώρους)

Επίσης, το σχέδιο ‘Governance for Youth’ (GO4YOU) θα υποστηρίξει τη δημιουργία ενός άτυπου, ad-hoc, δικτύου διαβούλευσης με τη συμμετοχή των νέων, με την συμμετοχή όσων δουλεύουν με και για τους νέους, και όσους υποστηρίζουν νέους στο σχεδιασμό και την υλοποίηση προτάσεων, καθώς και όσους βρίσκονται σε κέντρα λήψης αποφάσεων. Στόχος είναι η άσκηση πολιτικής πίεσης (lobbying) από τους νέους του έργου, και με τη στήριξη των αντίστοιχων φορέων του δικτύου, σε εκείνους που λαμβάνουν αποφάσεις σε κάθε Δήμο κάθε πόλης που συμμετέχει στο έργο με στόχο την υιοθέτηση των παραγόμενων προτάσεων/ του παραγόμενου μικρού Σχεδίου Δράσης του δικτύου στις ημερήσιες διατάξεις τους (μέσω μιας εισήγησης προς τα αντίστοιχα δημοτικά συμβούλια για την ανάληψη δέσμευσης υλοποίησης των προτεινόμενων μέτρων βελτίωσης).

Από το έργο, θα προκύψει η Παραγωγή ενός τρίπτυχου φυλλαδίου σε 2 γλώσσες (ελληνική, ρουμανική) προς διανομή ως ενημερωτικό υλικό στις συμμετέχουσες πόλεις , καθώς και η Παραγωγή ενός Οδηγού Καλής Πρακτικής σε 2 γλώσσες (ελληνική, αγγλική) προς διανομή ως υλικό μεταφοράς της τεχνογνωσίας του έργου.

Το σχέδιο ανταποκρίνεται στην προώθηση της ενεργούς συμμετοχής των νέων και της ιδιότητάς τους ως Ευρωπαίοι πολίτες μέσω της εμπλοκής τους σε διαδικασίες λήψης αποφάσεων, διαβούλευσης και άσκησης πολιτικής πίεσης. Το σχέδιο στηρίζεται σε διαδικασίες  μη τυπικής εκπαίδευσης  (όπως εξωτερικές δραστηριότητες έρευνας, ομάδες διαβούλευσης, ομάδες ιδεών-προτάσεων, ανάπτυξη προτάσεων  τύπου ‘manifesto’, παρακολούθηση της εφαρμογής των προτάσεων που αφορούν νέους) και βοηθά τους νέους να αποκτήσουν δεξιότητες και ικανότητες που θα συμβάλλουν στη προσωπική και κοινωνική τους ανάπτυξη. Οι συμμετέχοντες νέοι με το επιτυχές πέρας του έργου θα μπορούν να λειτουργούν με μεγαλύτερη άνεση σε πλαίσια άσκησης πολιτικής καθώς θα αποτελούν μέρος των επιδιωκόμενων στόχων βελτίωσης πολιτικών για την προσβασιμότητα και θα αισθανθούν τη δική τους συνεισφορά σε αυτό. Η αλληλεγγύη μεταξύ τους θα ενισχυθεί και από τη στιγμή που έχει επιλεχθεί οι ομάδες των νέων να είναι ετερογενείς (νέοι με αναπηρίες και νέοι του γενικού πληθυσμού) θα ενισχυθεί επίσης και η ανεκτικότητα μεταξύ τους γεγονός που συνεισφέρει σε μια ευρύτερη κοινωνική συνοχή.

English version:

'Go4YOU: Governance for the Youth’, a project under Action 1.3 Youth Democracy Projects of Youth in Action Programme 2007-13 of the European Union, has been developed by 4 organisations in Greece and Romania (KEKPA-DIEK & EDRA in Greece, Organizatia Studentilor din Arad & Ofensiva Tinerilor in Romania). 

The main subject of the project ‘Governance for Youth’ (GO4YOU) focuses on the young people participation, mainly youth with disabilities, in democratic processes such as to learn to participate, to organise and be involved in consultation processes, to be heard and to influence their reality and finally to influence the political scene and those who take decisions for them. The project will last 273 days and will concern 28 participants (7 by the coordinator and 7 by each of the 3 promoters). This general subject has been divided into two main fields of objectives: youths to learn to participate in democratic life and youths to learn to influence those who take decisions that concern them. The scheduled activities focus on: recording by heterogeneous groups of young people (disabled and not) of a city’ s spots that concern the urban accessibility for the disabled (accessible town planning, accessible services, etc.), the establishment of an ad-hoc consultation network with the participation of those youth, of those who work with and for them, of those who can assist them in planning and elaborating proposals, and of those who take decisions. Youths will lobby the local authorities in order to be committed, adapt and incorporate measures for resolving non-accessibility issues that concern them (disabled youth) or are of interest for them (the rest participated youth). 

A final transnational meeting will boost the exchange of the results and will safeguard an impetus for feedback, monitoring and viability of the measures to be taken. The method of non-formal learning is present throughout the project (outdoor research activities, consultation panel-roundtable, development of a political ‘manifesto’, monitoring of the implementation by those who take decisions of the youths’ proposals) and will lead to the acquisition of competencies by the youths, of self-confidence, of new skills, and of a knowledge that boosts their personal and social development.

EVS project in Romania!

Support 4 Youth Development, from Cluj-Napoca, Romania, is an NGO that aims to support youngsters from the local community in terms of gaining the access  to alternative ways of education, information, resources and opportunities. 

We are applying on the 1st of October with an EVS project and we are searching volunteers and partners. 

Because we believe in intercultural growth we are applying for an EVS project that will last between 8 months (1st of February 2014–30th of September 2014). We are looking for 6 volunteers that will be involved in creating and implementing activities in Cluj-Napoca for youth development. Please see attachment for a full description of the project and planned activities.

EVS experience in Romania!

Anastasia writes about her EVS experience in Millenium Center Association, Romania. She participated in a project titled "Smile in Action".

Romania is a wonderful country and I would be crazy if I wasn't interested to live there for 5 months, working as a volunteer with children from ethnic minorities and a researcher. My project, on how to deliver non-formal educational trainings to children and on researching about the rights of kids across Europe, gave me the chance to improve my professional skills and to go on further to my social interaction qualifications. I now know how it is to make kids smile, their parents to trust and be proud of them, and the educators relieve from the sense of having to do too many things, thus putting aside for a while the laughter of kids. 

What I enjoy is the multicultural and intercultural aspect of my whole stage, as I live together with people from different parts of Europe; I made real friends and I think I will be really sad when they will be away from me. I will miss "my children", too - and this is a big thing, considering that before this project I did not want to see even a painted child in front of me! And the country... All you can listen about Romania being a land of fairy tales is absolutely true; the forests, the lakes, the rivers and the castles do not let me forget that I live in a place at least with a medieval, theatrical air.

Project' s objectives:
- Conducting training activities for young people at perceptive, sensory, emotional (cultivation of "Attention; among youth from everything around them, "Observation; Natural Wonders and "Reflection; on the feelings that young people have for Nature).
- Improving attitudes towards Nature and awareness of the effects of destructive behavior toward it.
- The acquisition by young of new perceptions and beliefs towards the environment.
- Increased desire to protect, respect and protect nature by engaging participants in demonstration activities.

Learning is constructed:
1) through artistic practices (photography, collage, pastel) without need of prior artistic skill,
2) through the intervention of specialists and active visits to natural places (gardens, natural parks, protected areas) allowing the discovery of artistic devices made from natural materials.
3) with means allowing the realization of an exhibition with photos and artwork made by natural objects.
4) by approaches based on innovative use of Information Technology and Communication.

EVS project in Arad, Romania!

Multisport Experience Sports Club from Arad/Romania invites young and dynamic persons to participate in new EVS project with sport theme entitled: “The habit of running”.

Project type: European Voluntary Service

Title: “The habit of running”.

Duration: 9 (nine) months starting with the 01.03.2014 – group 1;

9 (nine) months starting with the 01.01.2015 – group 2;

Venue: Arad / Romania

Activities: The core of the activities is associated with running which is major sport activity of our association as you can see at www.experientamultisport.ro.

Volunteers who will accompany us will have a chance to work on:

• promoting running in schools, universities, companies, institutions;
• facilitate the group running: preparations, meetings, trainings, motivation, promotion, etc;
•  propose new running routes in the area;
• work on partnerships;
• research on running;
• inform persons about the benefits of running;

Learning objectives for the volunteers:

1. Developing the necessary competences for running a half marathon at least, in  9 months of the project;

2. Gaining the competences of planning, realizing and evaluating of a running event in  9months of the project;

3.Developing the knowledge, abilities and attitudes regarding a healthy diet in  9 months of the project;

By completing activities EVS volunteers will have a chance to achieve following competences:

-       preparing the routes;

-       sports marketing;

-       promoting the events using non formal methods;

-       spreading the news using the social media;

-       promoting the events on Internet;

-       preparing the materials for the event;

-       being supporters for the runners in the event day;

-       creating  special music for the event;

-       being city guides for the quests from other locations;

-       making a small research on the sport subjects;

-       flow of materials, procedures, area coordination;

-       management of localvolunteers;

  

Methods: non formal way of education (learning by doing) and learning through sport

All You need to be a volunteer is:

· strong motivation to spend 9 months in multicultural environment of Romania;

· strong devotion to running as major sport activity of the project;

· strong believe in non-formal way of education and learning through sport;

· ability to focus and work 7 hours per day, 5 days per week;

This EVS project is addressed especially to persons with fewer opportunities. 

Other conditions: are determined by EVS programme. We provide food, accommodation, training cycle and travel costs refund within Youth in Action programme rules and budget for action 2 (at least 90% of travel costs).

EVS short term project in Romania!

Hosting and coordinating organization:  Millennium Center Association Arad

Number of volunteers: 1 (Greece), 1 (Turkey), 1 (F.Y.R.O.M.)

Duration: 3 months (1st of October 2013 – 30th of  December 2013)

Profile of the volunteer: Age between 18-30, English (minimum – conversational level), willingness to participate in a dynamic intercultural exchange with youngsters from several countries: F.Y.R.O.M., Turkey, Romania and Greece.

What we offer:

· Trainings, workshops for personal and professional development;

· Foreign language classes: Romanian;

· Pocket money;

· Meals and accommodation (meals allowances: 100 EUR/month);

Project:

The major objectives of this project are:

· create at least 10 episodes of videoblog uploaded on youtube with the help of coordinating team and under supervision of local facilitator;

· create a platform of exchanging opinions regarding topics which the videoblog touches;

· gain or improve IT skills sufficient enough to create, moderate and update relevant for project websites and accounts;

· promote non-violent communication in digital area of communication;

· promote fighting against racism, xenophobia;

· promote non-formal way of education.

Πρόγραμμα εθελοντισμού: EVS Project in Bucharest, Romania

Asociatia Tineri Romani Europeni (A.T.R.E.), a local NGO from Bucharest, Romania (EI Ref 2013-RO-92), is looking for volunteers!!!

The dead line for our project is 1st of October 2013, the date when our project will be submitted to our National Agency for evaluation and approval.

Our project is called "S.M.A.R.T – Simply just Make A Romanian Trip", and it's going to start in April 2014, for a 9 months period.

The project was born from our organization's desire to bring the youngsters from our local communities, where the project is going to be implemented, one step closer to European Union and its youngsters.

Nowdays romanian youngsters are facing a series of problems that can affect them on long time perspective.

Put it on briefly, some of the problmes that they are facing are:

- youngsters don't care much about the environment and are not taking any actions for preserving or cleaning it;
- the youngster perception about European Union is very low and they don't have good knowledge about the role of Romania as a state member is about, and also about their role in the society as European citizens;
- most of the youngsters know very little about the other countries that are EU members and about other countries outside EU;
- the gap between Roma youngsters and the other youngsters is very deep, both ethnics are manifesting low tolerance for the other, situation that should not exist in the "European Family";
- a lot of kids are left home only with their grandparents, because the parents are working outside Romania's borders, a thing that has major repercussions in the youngster life, affecting them on a personal, social
or educational level; etc.

For the reasons mentioned above and more, our organization decided to develop this EVS. Through this project our organisation will try to solve some of the problems that our youngsters are confronting with, by working with volunteers and developing a series of activities. The activities developed inside this project are going to be conducted on several plans: working in schools and highschools with youngsters, working in special schools with youngsters with disabilityes (mobility problems, blind youngsters, hearing problems, etc.), art and culture work in insitutions and centers that are working with youngsters (dance, theatre, photography, organising concerts, music, etc.), ecological campaigns, workshops, etc.
