The N.E.F.E.L.E. project (Networking European FEstivals for Mental Life Enhancement) aims to strengthen all kinds of artistic creation connected with the field of mental health with the aim of broadening the cultural activities for the benefit of artists and enriching therapeutic procedures for the benefit of patients and society as a whole.

THE PARTNERSHIP 

1. K.S.D.E.O. “EDRA” (GR) (www.edra-coop.gr/en) , which is also the coordinator of the project, has been organizing Art4More Festival for nine consecutive years on an annual basis.It is an innovative Arts Festival that brings awareness on social issues,especially mental health.

2. First Fortnight Ltd. (IE) (http://firstfortnight.ie/) also organizes once a year the most famous Art festival on Mental Health of Ireland, with the expressed aim of challenging mental health prejudice through the creative arts.

3. Fundacion Intras (ES) (http://www.intras.es ), is one of the biggest mental health services providers in Spain which has incorporated permanent art activities either in the mental treatment or in the pillar to address stigma and raise public awareness

4. Euro- Net (IT) (http://eng.synergy-net.info/),a EUROPE DIRECT Antenna and selected center of EURODESK which provides to the project significant communication possibilities Europe

5. Aukstelkes (LT) (http://aukstelkesgn.lt/en),which works in the specific field of arts for mental health since 1963, have formed a strong partnership and began implementing the project since June of 2015.

THE OBJECTIVES

The project has prioritised its focus on the following objectives: *Organization of the 1st European art festival focused on mental health in Athens, Greece on October of 2016. *Organization of four festivals/ activities organized by the project partners in each one’s country. *Development of tools for the professional support of artists . *Networking and promotion of the idea of art festivals focused on mental health in EU wide scale.
